Bluebird Blog: New App Supports Unpaid Carers

Blog: At Bluebird Care we provide Home Care, Night Care, Live-in Care and other forms of care in Halifax and Calderdale. but we are also very aware of the huge amount of care provided by unpaid carers. Family and friends are naturally the first people we turn to when we look for care and these are the people who know you best. Much of the care that Bluebird provides is in conjunction with unpaid care. When we start with a new client, there’s often a well-established pattern of care provided from within the client’s family circle.

Now, a new app looks to support the work of unpaid carers and integrate it with the services of professional carers. And it’s all under the umbrella of the NHS. See below for more details of the app and how to get hold of it.

The NHS has launched a new FREE app called Share2Care which is designed to support unpaid carers across West Yorkshire.

Share2Care provides a simple and secure way for carers to store important information in one place and share it with the people who matter most, helping them coordinate their caring role more effectively.

Most importantly, the app enables carers to create a digital contingency plan that can be securely uploaded to their NHS record within the Yorkshire & Humber Care Record (YHCR) and flags them as a carer, ensuring vital information is available when it is needed most.

For security and peace of mind, users access the app using their NHS App Login, providing a trusted and secure way to verify their identity and access their information.
