Free Support With Your Attendance Allowance Application

Attendance Allowance is extra money you can claim if you’re over State Pension age and need help with your care needs or regular supervision. It’s not means-tested, so you can claim it whatever your income or savings.

The payment, worth up to £6000 per year, can also unlock other benefits including a Blue Badge or increased Pension Credit. However, it is massively underclaimed, with up to one million eligible older people missing out.

There are a number of firms charging older people to complete the paperwork on their behalf, on a ‘no win no fee’ basis – meaning that a payment to the firm will be made upon successful approval of an Attendance Allowance claim.

However, the older person’s organisation, Independent Age, offers this service free of charge for any older person who needs support to apply.

Their expert advisers are there on a Helpline to support with Attendance Allowance applications and other financial support for free.
