Quick Guide To Recycling
- Put containers out by 6:00am
- Keep streets clear for collection vehicles
- Flatten/cut cardboard to fit into your recycling box, take larger amounts to HWRCs
- Wash, squash & seal your cans and plastics to keep them secure in your white sack
Reuse & Recycle
- Over 80 million easter eggs are sold in the UK each year, most are in recyclable foil packaging. Scrunch your foil into a ball and put it in your white sack with cans, aerosols and plastics. Remember to squash plastics and seal your white sacks with the Velcro fastening.
- Batteries and vapes: never put in bins due to fire risk – return to retailers or take to HWRC collection points.
- Excess waste: take to any HWRC.
- Revive Reuse Shop (Brighouse HWRC): donate unwanted gifts or shop for all sorts of pre-loved items.
