Calderdale Council’s Adult Services and Wellbeing is working on an Active Social Care Project. Their aim is to support people who use social care to be physically active and move more. Here’s what they say about the project and how you can get involved.
Being active is good for everyone:
- It is good for your physical and mental health
- It can help you stay independent
- It can be an opportunity to meet people
- It can be fun!
We are working with Calderdale Sport Services to look at how they can be accessible to everyone. We are holding sessions with people who access social care, or care for someone who does. We want to hear from you!
We want to know:
- If you use Council Sport Services, what your experience has been
- If you don’t use them, what are the barriers?
- What could we do to make services more inclusive and accessible?
What the session will cover:
- Your views on Sport Services as they are now
- The new North Bridge Leisure Centre in Halifax
Dates:
