The Chair of Calderdale Family History Society is standing down in March 2026 and a new Chair is sought.
This is a voluntary position to lead the Calderdale Family History Society.
The role involves :-
– Being the spokesperson for the Society from time to time, as and when necessary.
– To chair the monthly Society meeting, the content of which is prepared & organised by the Publicity Officer.
– To chair the bi-monthly Committee meetings.
– To chair the annual AGM in April each year, in accordance with the Society Constitution.
The new Chair does not have to be a current Society member and will be supported by an experienced group of Committee members & other society officials, each with their own responsibilities for routine activities. In consequence, the Chair does not have any specific routine tasks to carry out, other than those described above.
