The organisers of this year’s International Day of Older People celebrations in Calderdale have produced a report looking at the feedback they’ve received from this year’s celebrations. Here’s what theyr say to everyone who took part, with the report available to download at the bottom:
A big THANK YOU to all of the amazing voluntary and community groups that supported International Day of Older People celebrations in Calderdale.
A big THANK YOU also to everyone who shared information, encouraged groups to host an event or supported individuals to attend.
This year we had a large number of applications for the small grants scheme which we had to whittle down to just 11 organisations. The successful organisations delivered a range of fantastic events and activities throughout October, supporting over 500 older people to connect with friends and new activities, helping to reduce social isolation and loneliness, and build belonging through social connection.
