About Memory Lane Cafe
Memory Lane Cafe provides a dementia-friendly environment for people affected by dementia, other memory problems and isolation. We always have a varied programme of games & crafts, information and support, cakes and conversation. Our dedicated team of volunteers run the craft sessions, games, refreshments, provide information, support, chat and a very warm welcome.
Memory Lane Cafe timetable 2022
Our cafes restarted on Saturday 8 January. Our Boothtown Cafe meets every 2nd and 4th Wednesday and our Sowerby Bridge Cafe meets every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. Full list of dates below:
Memory Lane Cafe – How To Get Involved
Our cafes are open to everyone and usually run every Wednesday in Boothtown Halifax and Saturday in Sowerby Bridge. There is a £2 entry fee to each cafe.
With numbers limited due to Covid restrictions, please call June or email us to book your place – details at the top of the page and below.
We restarted our Halifax and Sowerby Bridge cafes in April 2021, running them on the same lines as the previous Autumn – morning and afternoon sessions on each cafe day, socially-distanced tables, and mask-wearing encouraged when moving around the room etc. For the time being, restrictions remain on the number of people we can have in the room so everyone needs to book ahead for each session. Our volunteer team are really looking forward to welcoming people back.
