About Memory Lane Cafe
Memory Lane Cafe provides a dementia-friendly environment for people affected by dementia, other memory problems and isolation. We always have a varied programme of games & crafts, information and support, cakes and conversation. Our dedicated team of volunteers run the craft sessions, games, refreshments, provide information, support, chat and a very warm welcome.
Memory Lane Cafe – Current Activities
Our cafe’s restarted in April – see below.
Memory Lane Cafe – How To Get Involved
Our cafes are open to everyone and usually run every Wednesday afternoon in Halifax and Saturday afternoon in Sowerby Bridge.
Memory Lane Cafe plans post-Covid
We restarted our Halifax and Sowerby Bridge cafes in April, running them on the same lines as last Autumn – morning and afternoon sessions on each cafe day, socially-distanced tables, and mask-wearing encouraged when moving around the room etc. For the time being, restrictions remain on the number of people we can have in the room so everyone needs to book ahead for each session. Our volunteer team are really looking forward to welcoming people back. For more information and to book please call June (our Cafe Co-ordinator) – details at the top of the page.
