Calderdale Heritage Walks

About Calderdale Heritage Walks
We take walks around historic parts of Calderdale, usually Sunday afternoons for about 2 hours.

Current Activities
Most walks start at 2pm and last 2 to 2¼ hours and are fairly easy walking – normally on surfaced paths. A few walks are a little longer, use rural paths or are harder walking – there will be a note in the text about those. Also indicated in the text are walks suitable for powered wheelchairs. Almost all starting points are served by public transport. Well behaved dogs
on short leads are allowed on walks unless indicated in the text.

The majority of walks are circular finishing at the starting point; however a couple of walks are linear and these are
marked in the text. Longer walks are indicated in the text.

How To Get Involved
There is no formal membership – but you can be added to our email newsletter on request. The cost of most walks will be £4 inclusive ofbooking fee but a few are £5 because of extra expenses.

Plans for Spring and Summer 2022
Our Summer programme runs from April to October and our Winter programme from November to March.   Click on the link below to see our programme or go to our website or Facebook page – @CalderHeritage

For many walks there’s no need to book, just turn up and pay on the day.  However others do need booking through TicketSource – https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/calderdale-heritage-walks. If you need help with this, please call at Halifax Information Hub, Woolshops, near the Piece Hall.
