Calder and Ryburn Primary Care Network (NHS) will be holding an event this October to celebrate international day of older people and they would like to invite organisations to host a stall at the event to showcase the amazing support/services on offer to people in the local community.
Here’s what they say about the event:
We are proposing a Celebration of Older People event, designed to honour the contributions of older members of our community while fostering new opportunities for social connection and engagement. The event will be inclusive, accessible, and free of charge, ensuring that all who wish to attend can participate. The day will feature a comprehensive programme combining information, advice, and interactive activities. A central feature will be a marketplace of stalls hosted by local organisations, charities, and service providers who work to support older people. These stalls will provide attendees with direct access to information on health, wellbeing, housing, volunteering, and community-based opportunities, thereby enabling sustained engagement beyond the event itself.
We will also be hosting 30-minute taster sessions of some activities to allow people to engage with different organisations!
We will be running this Wednesday 14th October 9am – 4pm, at Elland Community Hub, Huddersfield Road, HX5 9DL.
