2026-06-10 | Age Without Limits Day Activities

10 JUNE: Let’s Question Ageism Together. On Wednesday 10 June 2026, people across the country will come together for Age Without Limits Day — a national day of action to challenge ageism and rethink the way we talk about ageing.

This year’s theme is simple but powerful: Question ageism.
We hear ageist comments every day:
“Stuck in their ways.”
“Bit of a dinosaur.”
“Time to slow down.”
They may sound harmless, but these phrases shape attitudes, influence opportunities, and affect confidence at every stage of life.

Questions can change that.
By stopping to question assumptions about ageing — in our workplaces, communities, families and friendships — we can start changing the conversation and create a future free from ageism.

What’s happening in Calderdale?
Local organisations are marking the day with activities that bring people together across generations and communities.
