Mytholm Meadows extra care (assisted living) scheme, in Hebden Bridge, is reopening in April 2025.
Sukey Honoré, who works for Calderdale Council’s Adult Services and Wellbeing Department wanted us to spread the word, including the facility’s capacity for hosting activities. Here’s what she said:
“Our vision is of a place that is not just somewhere to live, but a vibrant part of the community. We hope Mytholm Meadows can be a host for groups, classes and other activities where our residents can socialise with the wider community. With this in mind, we are reaching out to community organisations to see if they would be interested in hosting activities at Mytholm Meadows. These might range from exercise groups and knit and natters, to book clubs and beyond – we are open to creative suggestions! These groups could be held regularly or on a one-off basis. Additionally, if you know someone who might like to move into Mytholm Meadows, please refer them through Gateway to Care ((01422) 393000) or, if they have one, their social worker.
