Halifax Photographic Society is small group of photography enthusiasts and welcome anyone with an interest in all things photographic.
When: Tuesdays at 7.30 to 9.30pm from September to early May. Zoom is used for some meetings. During the summer months we meet less frequently taking part in informally organised trips and meet ups exploring local, mostly Yorkshire based photographic locations.
Where: Northowram Community Hall, Bradford Road, Halifax, HX3 7HL.
Details: We offer a varied programme of activities each year. These include a programme of evening meetings with talks by our own members and by guest speaks. We hold internal competitions and take part in shared external photographic competitions. We are members of the Yorkshire Photographic Union and collaborate with clubs regionally.
Activities also include ‘how to sessions’ covering practical camera techniques and digital post processing skills. Our members are only too willing to share their experience, skills and knowledge with each other.
