Calderdale Better Living Service – helping you improve your health

Calderdale Council’s Better Living Service is aimed at helping people to make long-term improvements to their health.

The service includes help with weight management, alcohol reduction and increasing physical activity as well as specialist help with coping with the after-effects of a stroke.

121 or group sessions are available for the weight management, physical activity and alcohol reduction service.

The Stroke Survivor programme provides 121 support to maintain or increase physical activity through 12 sessions with a dedicated instructor working towards personal goals.

Additional services include:

Waiting Well – physical support for people waiting for knee or hip operations.

Fit4Work – support for people unable to work due to muskulo-skeletel conditions or who have received a Fit Note.

Active My Way – support for people experiencing breathlessness.
