Everyone feels low at times, but if sadness doesn’t lift, it may be a sign of depression. Spotting the signs and knowing where to seek help are the first steps to feeling better.

There are many ways to care for your mental health, whether or not you’re getting outside support. Different approaches work for different people, so try what feels right for you. Remember, you are not alone – many older people experience these feelings.
