Think Local Act Personal (TLAP) is a government funded partnership committed to personalisation and community-based health, care and support.
They have published a new report which promotes the wellbeing of people living with dementia through community development, social innovation, and personalised support. Here’s what they say about the report, with a link to the report itself:
Based on conversations with people living with dementia, family and friend carers, academics, and people who work in care and support, it presents a hopeful vision for what’s possible, alongside nine practical actions to guide the way forward.
The report title, ‘I just want to be able to dance,’ is a simple, human expression of what matters. It’s a reminder that people with dementia are still people, with hopes, passions, and rights. We hope this report will inspire renewed energy and collaboration to make these ideas a reality so we can create communities where everyone has the opportunity to flourish.
