Beginner Tai Chi sessions are now running and dementia-friendly classes will start on 9 April: both in Sowerby Bridge.
Tai Chi is an ancient practice which encourages balance, vitality and happiness through a series of exercises and is ideal for older people.
Tai Chi Tigers is now running Tai Chi for beginners at the Soul Wellness Hub, Burnley Road, Sowerby Bridge HX6 2TL on Wednesday evenings from 6.30 to 7.30pm. The class fee is £6.50 and no booking is required – just turn up.
The Dementia-friendly classes involve seated gentle exercise based on the ancient wisdom of Qigong. Learn the secrets of breathing to help mind and body awareness for a calm, relaxing feeling.
The classes start on 9 April and run every Wednesday from 9.30 to 10.30am at the Foundry Street Community Centre, Foundry Street, Sowerby Bridge HX6 3AS. The class fee is £7 (carer’s free of charge).
