Here’s a new report which looks at an interesting aspect of home care amongst people with conditions like dementia:

This new study examines self-directed home care for older people with cognitive impairment and dementia. Based on interviews with 26 participants, findings suggest that basic needs like food and safety were better met than more complex needs like social participation.
Many reported unmet needs in mobility, transport, and care services. Recommendations include shifting focus towards more support to help older people stay active and involved in communities, as older people with dementia may be too ready to accept limitations in this area.
