The Winter Fuel Payment (between £250-£600 paid in November) helps older people (born before 26 September 1956) with their heating bills and for winter 2023 to 2024 includes the Pensioner Cost of Living Payment. Pension age residents should be encouraged to check if they are eligible for Pension Credit. There are extra entitlements that come with claiming, including free NHS dental treatment, free sight tests, Cold Weather Payments and a free TV licence to name a few. To find out more, click here
