On Tuesday, 19th March 2024, “Concert for the Young at Heart” will be presenting a free variety show, for the Senior Citizens of Calderdale at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax.
For many people in Calderdale this free event may be their only opportunity to go to the theatre due to the cost of show tickets. This annual evening of entertainment relies on sponsorship, donations on the night and fundraising activities throughout the year.
Organiser Anne Redfern said: “We would like to thank all those people who continue to support this event and ask those who would like to offer financial help to please get in touch via email. The costs are increasing year on year and additional sponsors and advertisers will help to ensure this fantastic concert can continue.”
Besides the well-rehearsed and talented local acts, the concert includes professional musicians and entertainers and more details will be released later.
Tickets will be available after Christmas by writing to ‘Concert for the Young at Heart’, The Studio Rooms, 11 St. James Street, Halifax HX1 5SU. Please enclose a ‘stamped’ addressed envelope, along with a contact telephone number, stating the number of tickets required and any special requirements. Please note: Groups are restricted to 20 in total.
