The UK’s Wildlife Trusts are conducting a wildlife gardening survey. Click here to help the organisation get the information they need to see where gardeners are with helping make life better for wildlife. Your views can really help them with future plans.
There are lots of things that gardeners can do to help make their garden better for wildlife. One thing to consider is installing a swift box. Swifts have declined hugely over the last 40 years and are on the Red Data List now which means they are in danger of becoming extinct in the UK. This is due to a lack of nesting sites and availability of the insects such as midges, aphids and flying ants. Follow this link for details on how to build a suitable nesting site.
