Why You Need An Emergency Back-Up Plan If You’re A Carer

If you worry about what would happen to the person you care for if you were involved in an emergency then an emergency back-up plan might help. The Carers’ Wellbeing Service has a scheme that aims to provide peace of mind and gathers information about who to contact in an emergency and what support the person you care for would need if you were unavailable.

If you would like to find out more or complete an emergency back-up plan please ring their office (details below). If you already have a plan that may need updating please also get in touch. Alongside this scheme they can also provide carers with a Message in a Bottle- a simple way to share medical information and caring responsibilities in an emergency.

Simply request your bottle, fill in your medical information and caring responsibilities and store it in your fridge. To request a bottle please ring the office
