Taking place on 26th July, 9th August, 23rd August and 13th September 2023
As part of our 3-2-1 Walks project, we are running a series of FREE led-walks during July, August & September The walks will be using the 3km, 2km and 1km routes we mapped as part of the project. All the walks start from the Space@Field Lane community Centre in Rastrick, where you will find accessible facilities, including toilets. Hot and cold drinks, ice creams and cakes/snacks will be available from the Space@Field Lane Cafe before and after the walks.
All participants will receive a free gift after completing their walk.
Dates: The walks will be held on the following Wednesdays: 26th July, 9th August, 23rd August, 13th September
- 10am – 2km or 3km led walk – a short/medium length walk on the pavements and footpaths of the Field Lane estate. A walk suitable for most adults and children. The walk will be led at the pace of the slowest participant, with frequent stops. We will offer 2km or 3km options and will decide as a group which to take. Time: 25-45 minutes.
- 11am – 1km led walk – a short walk on the pavements of the Field Lane estate. A walk suitable for wheelchairs, motorised wheelchairs, pushchairs with smooth surfaces and dropped curbs all the way round. The walk will be led at the pace of the slowest participant. Time: 20 to 30 minutes.
How To Take Part: these walks are free and open to all. Please turn up at least 10 minutes before the walk is due to start. The location is The Space@Field Lane, Burnsall Road, Field Lane HD6 3JT – next door to Field Lane Primary School. On street parking is available on Burnsall road. Please be careful not to block driveways or access.
