The Rotary Club of Halifax’s centenary project to create a viewing platform and seating area on Beacon Hill overlooking Halifax and surrounding areas has concluded with an official opening ceremony.
More information on the project can be found on the Rotary Club’s website.
For those wishing to visit the site, there are a number of footpaths. The easiest to access leads to the beacon from the junction between Southowram Bank, Trooper Lane and Beacon Hill Road, the closest postcode being HX3 9LS.
It’s a genuinely stunning spot with tremendous views of the town of Halifax and the hills and valleys of Calderdale.
