HEARTBEAT was founded in October 2006 for people in West Yorkshire who have had or are at risk of having a cardiac event.
Walking with other people can turn an exercise session into an enjoyable social occasion and walking is also good for your mental health.
Their aim is to improve the quality of life and the life expectancy of their Members. The Charity, registered in England and Wales, number 1156951, is run by volunteer Trustees.
They hold walks with trained walk leaders three times a fortnight and offer several fun exercise classes each week as well.
