The next Todmorden U3A monthly meeting is at 1.30pm on Thursday 20 April at the Central Methodist Hall, Todmorden and will feature a talk by Susan Rogers entitled “Easter Island”
Susan will speak about the enigma of this island and especially why the Moai were erected and even more intriguing why they were desecrated. There have been many theories but Susan has visited the island and seen for herself the remains and has what she believes to be the one possible explanation.
U3A is a memberhip organisation offering a variety of activities. They welcome new visitors who can attend one of their meetings in person to see if they would like to become a member. The committee members wear name badges so they are easy to spot and discuss membership with.
