Age UK are doing face to face befriending again in Calderdale.

All volunteers for the Befriending Service are checked and vetted by Age UK. It can take a few weeks from referral to first contact. Age UK do an Introductory, 20 min session with the individual and the volunteer to ensure they click. Once matched they check periodically to ensure both parties are still happy with the arrangement.
