The Motability Scheme’s face-to-face events are back for 2022 with the return of The Big Event and the regional One Big Days, including one in Harrogate. These events are the perfect way for visitors to find out everything they need to know about the Scheme, see the latest range of products available and have their questions answered by the experts, all in accessible locations across the UK. Every event offers free entry with plenty of free parking and there’s no need to book, visitors can simply turn up on the day.
The events programme kicks off on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 May 2022, with The Big Event at the NEC in Birmingham. This two-day flagship show is the biggest event of the year and showcases the largest display of cars, Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs), powered wheelchairs and scooters available on the Motability Scheme. Plus, exclusively available at The Big Event are expert speaker sessions on a range of motoring and mobility topics.
New for 2022, at all the events, is an Electric Vehicle Info Hub. Designed to help visitors understand if an electric vehicle is right for them, they can explore a selection of electric vehicles, discover the latest charging app technology and home charging points, and speak to electric vehicle experts.
The events also provide the opportunity to test drive adapted and standard cars, supported by a professional instructor, to help visitors decide which vehicles are best suited to their individual needs. Test drives can be booked on the day – visitors just need to bring along their full driving licence and choose a car to test drive. To give people a chance to try out different products, there is also an indoor scooter test drive area at all locations.
In addition to the in-person show, The Big Event 2022 will also be live-streamed for anyone who is not able to attend. Visit motabilityonebigday.co.uk to stream the event.
