West Yorkshire Police, the Mayor of West Yorkshire, and local authority partners are planning on bidding to the Home Office for Safer Streets funding that is targeting neighbourhood crime, violence against women and girls and anti-social behaviour, in areas that are disproportionately and persistently impacted by these crime types/issues.
Crime data and intelligence analysis has highlighted two themes across West Yorkshire that are a priority and meet the criteria of the fund, the safety of women and girls at night in city and town centres, and tackling motorbike related crime and anti-social behaviour and vehicle crime in open spaces and residential areas.
