Are You Registered to Vote?

Local Government Elections are coming up on Thursday 5th May 2022. If you are already registered to vote at your current address you don’t need to register again. Anyone who needs to register can do so quickly and easily online by visiting www.gov.uk/register-to-vote .

Everyone who is registered by 14th April will be sent a poll card to inform them of their polling station location, hours of the poll or whether they have a postal vote.

Check your poll card if you go to the polling station to vote because several venues have changed this year.

New applications for postal votes, or cancellation of current postal voting arrangements, must be received by Electoral Services by 5pm on 19th April.

Further information about registering to vote and the ways you can cast your vote is available on the Calderdale Council website and if you have any questions in the lead up to the elections you can telephone Electoral Services on 01422 393103 or email electoral-services@calderdale.gov.uk .

In addition to Local Government Elections, The Boundary Commission for England is currently on the 2nd stage of consultation on proposed changed to Parliamentary Constituency boundaries in England. You can look at the proposals and submit your feedback online by visiting www.bcereviews.org.uk The consultation is open until 4th April 2022.
