New Year programme of wellbeing walks from Healthy Minds

Healthy Minds has released a full programme of walks for the new year, starting in January and running through to March.

Walking has a huge range of benefits for our physical and mental health. Their walks are opportunities to get out, do
some gentle exercise and chat to others in a relaxed environment for around two hours. They have local walks all across Calderdale so why not take a short bus or train journey and explore somewhere new!

Their first walk is on Wednesday 5 January and booking is essential for all walks.

Walk calendar

Central Halifax (Shibden, Savile Park and Halifax) – every 2nd Monday in the month.

Lower valley (Brighouse and Elland) – every 1st Wednesday.

Ryburn valley (Sowerby Bridge area) – every 3rd Thursday.

Mid Valley (Hebden Bridge, Luddenden and Warley) – every 4th Monday.

Upper Valley (Todmorden) – every 3rd Wednesday.

And on Wednesday 12 January there will be a longer walk from Hebden Bridge Picture House to Hardcastle Craggs, lasting approx. four hours.
