Memory Lane Cafes Are Open

Memory Lane Cafe is a local community group providing support for anyone affected by dementia, social isolation or loneliness. Their cafes currently run at two locations in Calderdale as follows:-

Sowerby Bridge (St Paul’s Methodist Church) on 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month.

Halifax (Boothtown Methodist Church) on 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month.

The cafes normally operate in the afternoon but, whilst COVID restrictions limit the number of people allowed in the room, they have also operating morning cafes on the same day. As numbers are limited they ask people to book in advance at present.

Their cafes have been adapted to be COVID-secure but they still offer a great mix of games, information, support, cakes and conversation. They charge £2 per person which covers refreshments and all activities. Everyone is welcome so if you’d like to know more (and to book) then please call June on 01422 706373 or 07920 549131.
