Accessible homes – show your support for change on social media today

Following their consultation at the end of last year, the government is currently considering whether to update building regulations to make all new homes more accessible.

Today, Thursday 13 May, the HoME coalition is calling for your help to make the case for change. We need you to help spark conversations and showcase on social media the difference accessible homes make to people’s lives.

You, or members of your organisations and networks, can join us by:

  1. Sharing stories and evidence of the impact of unsuitable homes using the hashtag #ForAccessibleHomes
  1. Following @Ageing_Better on Twitter and retweeting the posts we’ll be sharing throughout the day using the hashtag #ForAccessibleHomes
  • Encouraging your networks or members to record a short video explaining why accessible homes are important – we recommend keeping this under 1 minute. Post this video on social media using the hashtag #ForAccessibleHomes
