How To Vote in Calderdale

On Thursday 6th of May 2021 there are Calderdale-wide elections to vote for Local Government Councillors. This year for the first time, Calderdale will be voting for a Combined Authority Mayor. In some areas there will also be Parish/Town Council by-elections.

Due to the Coronavirus situation, this year citizens are encouraged to apply for a postal vote. This saves a trip to the polling station and offers a safe and secure method of voting, which is particularly important due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

You can still vote in person in a polling station, by post, or by appointing someone you trust to vote on your behalf, known as a proxy vote.

If you are not registered, you can do so here. It only takes five minutes!
