If you are caring for another person and finding it makes you stressed, anxious or depressed, then a new FREE wellbeing support service has just been launched.
Absolute Specialists Wellbeing are offering a listening ear for carers of all types, both voluntary and paid, who are finding their lives even harder at the moment because of the COVID-19 epidemic.
They offer a friendly ear and a chance to share your problems, but more than that, they can teach you super-powerful techniques that help you keep positive and deal with your worries.
They cover Calderdale and also Wakefield and Kirklees and can work with you on zoom or over the phone.
The carers we have already been supported have been feeling, amongst other things, anxiety, exhaustion, loneliness, low mood, anger, pain and grief. 91% of of them have found the sessions helpful while 85% have experienced an improvement in their symptoms after just three sessions with a practitioner.
Here is some of the feedback they received:
“I appreciated being listened to and encouraged to try things that might help me.”
“Very friendly team- got in touch very quickly and responsive to needs.”
“Very professional and helped me to understand that grief and stress can be overcome.”
“Would certainly use the service again, learnt a lot of techniques, very useful. Thank you.”
