Todmorden Book Festival has now released its online programme including The Yorkshire Shepherdess, Amanda Owen and environmental campaigner Jonathan Porritt.  Register FREE for all online events.

The Todmorden Festival team has created an exciting digital programme that includes in-depth interviews with the Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen and environmentalist Jonathon Porritt, and an exclusive event with the award-winning poet and Patron of Todmorden Book Festival Andrew McMillan reading from his new collection, due to be released in May 2021. You can register to take part in our popular Open Mic event hosted by Wednesday Writers, and we are delighted to bring you our first ever fringe event A Play and a Pint. With popular authors and events that showcase Todmorden’s unique character and landscape, this year’s Festival promises to be one to remember.
Bestselling author Amanda Owen will be interviewed by food journalist Amanda Wragg about her life as a hill farmer and successful writer. Her latest book Adventures of Yorkshire Shepherdess, published last year, brings readers up to date with life on the farm and offers a glimpse into a rural way of life unchanged for generations.
The programme also includes:
Friday 6 November: Andrew McMillan – Pandemonium.
Saturday 7 November, 2pm: Jonathon Porritt: Hope in Hell. A decade to confront the climate emergency
Sunday 8 November, 2pm: Walking the Watershed Landscape in partnership with the Kramblers.
Saturday 14 November, 8pm: Amanda Owen – Adventures of the Yorkshire Shepherdess.
