Renewing or applying for your senior travel pass

You can apply for or renew your senior travel pass online? It’s quick and easy to do and you can renew up to three months before it expires.

You qualify for a senior pass if you have reached the state pension age and are a permanent resident of West Yorkshire. The pass allows you to get concessionary fares on buses and trains.

To find out when you become eligible for your Senior Pass, check your State Pension age on the gov.uk website.

If this is your first application, apply online here.

You can apply online for a friend or relative by creating an account in your name and then adding them as a dependent.

Here is a video from West Yorkshire Metro, showing you how to renew online.

Extra cleaning on buses and in stations

To help stop the spread of the coronavirus, extra cleaning on buses and at stations is being carried out.  You need to still follow social distancing guidelines to protect yourself and to prevent passing it on to your loved ones.

Face coverings are now mandatory on public transport as well as in our Bus Stations, Interchanges and Travel Centres unless an exemption applies such as children under the age of 11 and those with health conditions. Please be mindful and respectful of such circumstances.

See our face covering hub for more guidance.
