Cycling is more popular than ever and in the next couple of weeks there are two important events that you can take part in.

Where: Brooksbank Cycle Track, Hammerstone Leach Ln, Elland HX5 0TA
It’s a chance to sample a large selection of mountain, road and leisure e-bikes (electric assist bicycles) on a traffic-free cycle circuit, near Halifax and the M62. During the day Giant Halifax staff will be available for all your questions as well as expert staff from Giant Head office.
Ride to Work Week
Firstly, this year’s Ride to Work Week will be Monday 12 – Saturday 18 March. Riding to work, or part of the way, has significant benefits that will make you happier, healthier and wealthier. More people riding to work also reduces congestion and pollution (which contributes to 40,000 premature deaths annually in the UK), making us all safer and our communities cleaner, greener and more liveable. Riding to work is also great fun and sets you up for the day – you arrive at work energised, warmed up and ready to go!
There are amazing prizes up for grabs in the Ride to Work Week draw, including European city breaks and vouchers to spend at a local independent business of your choice.
How to go into the draw
Firstly Register with Love to Ride at their Registration Page.
Every day you log a ride to work from 12-18 March you’ll go into a daily draw. Log your ride before midday the following day to go into the prize draw – winners will be announced on Twitter and Facebook at 3pm daily. Log your ride on your Love to Ride profile, or sync with Ride Report to automatically be entered into the prize draw every time you ride to work! If you are using a third-party app such as Ride Report or Strava, make sure you login on the site and set your trip purpose to ‘transport to or from work’ to ensure you go into the draw.
