Calderdale Council has a commitment to ensuring that the services provided are accessible to all and meet different people’s needs.
Under the new Public Sector Equality Duty, as introduced by the Equality Act 2010, the Council and other public bodies must adopt and publish their equality objectives every four years.
Initial conversation with communities and partners in 2016 indicated that the following objectives supported the needs and priorities of the people who live and work in Calderdale:
- Reduce Inequalities
- Grow the Economy
- Build a Sustainable Future
