Accessibility of the bus system is an issue for many people, especially those with disabilities and mobility difficulties. With that in mind, West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) added accessibility to their current draft Bus Strategy (which already addressed designing a clear and understandable bus network, audio announcements, and better interchange between transport modes etc.).
They are now running a consultation to look at the specific issue of accessibility – visit their website www.yourtravelyoursay.co.uk for the opportunity to comment. The consultation ends midnight on Monday 1st May 2017.
