The dementia friendly Memory Lane Cafe has been running successfully in Sowerby Bridge since February 2016. In conjunction with Age UK they will now trial a “Memory Lane Cafe in Town” on two Thursday mornings a month, initially using space in the Age UK shop in Halifax Woolshops.
Dates of the cafe in Halifax:
- March: 23rd
- April: 6th & 20th
- May: 11th & 25th
Entry to the cafe costs £2. This includes all refreshments (tea, coffee, soft drinks, biscuits, cakes), materials and equipment (craft materials, games, memory puzzles, reminiscence aids), and helps to provide for guest speakers / entertainers.
