Halifax Christmas Lights Switch On, Saturday 26 November – 2pm to 6pm
This will take place on Russell Street in the town centre, with live choir, dance performances, children’s entertainment. Neil Hurst from the Victoria Theatre Pantomime, Danny & Rosie from Pulse 1’s Breakfast Show will also be there!
On the same day, the Woolshops will host a Christmas Local Produce Market on the cobbles between 10am – 5:30pm with plenty of food stalls and local crafts to stock up on those all-important gifts.
There will also be free face painting. Donkey and fair ground rides and a special guest appearance from Father Christmas himself, before the Halifax Christmas Lights are switched on by a mystery local hero and the Mayor of Calderdale.
Everything will then end with a fireworks display kindly sponsored by Broad Street Plaza Shopping Centre.
