CALDERDALE: Planning Consultation

Calderdale Council is preparing a new Local Plan of how the District should grow, over the next 15 years, to meet the need for new homes and jobs. It will also identify sites for proposed development, and areas that will be protected.

Consultation starts at 12 noon on 6 November 2015 and runs for 6 weeks until 5pm 18 December 2015. Residents and other stakeholders will have the opportunity to comment on potential sites, and other aspects of the Local Plan.

Mapping will be available on the Council’s website, at a series of drop-in sessions and in due course in all Calderdale’s libraries. You will be able to view the location of possible development sites and consider information from detailed site assessments. There will also be the opportunity to comment on a document which presents other aspects of the Plan, including an explanation of how the future housing requirement has been assessed.
