The Big Lunch is a simple idea from the Eden project. The aim is to get as many people as possible across the whole of the UK to have lunch with their neighbours annually in a simple act of community, friendship and fun. The Big Lunch’s website gives more information on the project and provides plentiful advice on setting up and running a community Big Lunch.
Public Health, part of Calderdale Council, wants to help Calderdale non-profit organisations and groups run their own nutritious Big Lunches in their local communities. To do this, Public Health are seeking to support schools and voluntary, community, or faith groups with up to £500 to help with the cost of running a Big Lunch.
